What some people who have used the online version  have to say about the Vocal Release approach to singing. The very same approach you will have at your fingertips when you order the Vocal Release manual.

e-mail from liron cohen:

Dear Eric. HI. I'm 24 years old from Israel.  I got your site a month ago and downloaded your program, cause I read your story and I felt like finally someone was saying what I was feeling all these years I took singing lessons, all of them didn't feel right.  Either they taught me opera or they taught me only to sing with chest voice.  Neither or these made me feel the fun I used to feel when I was a kid and sang naturally the way I should have.   But, everyone said a real singer has to study how to sing.

My intuition told me your program could really help me.  I stopped my singing lessons and started working with your program.  What I loved about it was your sincerity.  Your advices are so true and helpful.   I found that the best singers do exactly what you are teaching.  So, I practiced it and got my range back, after coaches told me I could only sing with chest voice, which really frustrated me.  I learned to control my larynx and the resonance and it all felt completely natural.  So I wanted to thank you for giving me my voice back.  for giving me the greatest love of my life back and for giving me my confidence back.  It feels GREAT!!!  And of course it will be a privilege to me to let other people know about it too, so feel free to publish this letter on your site. Thank you so much, again, Liron.

e-mail from Ruth Woollard:

Dear Eric.  Hi I'm ruth, I bought Vocalrelease and it helped me so much!  I can't imagine how long it took you to put together all about songwriting as well!!  you have helped Thank! Ruth.

e-mail from Ruth Wool lard after asking if I can use the above e-mail:

Of course you can use this e-mail on the testimonials page!

I have never been so happy with my voice I can hit high pitches comfortably and confidently now!  I'm well pleased you set up vocal release, it is just what I have been looking for!

thank you once again!

From Ruthie, (U.K. Customer)

e-mail from Robin Vasudeva:

Eric, I bought a copy of your online version yesterday, really great, so true the points you made!!   I realized that, in advance of an audition next Tuesday I had been working my voice so whereas some of it was getting better  (easier range ect.) I was losing the quality of my voice, it's warmth and depth.  And this is what I was hoping would differentiate me.  Reading your manual I concluded that it was probably the larynx not being low enough or having been strained, so planning to lay off.

Anyway thanks, I think it gives me a fighting chance, and if i make it through to finals etc, expect a big bottle of your favorite drink heading your way!

Thanks again, wish I had read it 25 years ago when I was 16

Regards, Robin

e-mail from Janine VanLuvanee:

I almost couldn't believe it.  I have been working really hard to improve the quality of my voice since sept 2003 (Your CD really helped me)  And 3 days ago while I was driving home, singing and vocalizing as I usually do for my 45 minute commute, I found a whole new section of my voice that I didn't realize I had.  I mostly sing in my chest voice, it is where I have been most comfortable up to this point and I have pushed it to it's upper limits.  I sing cover songs and so I have been working on few songs that were giving me trouble.  You may be familiar with goodbye to you, scandal.   And Steve Mcqueen, Sheryl crow.   As I was singing these words I decided to experiment with positioning of my inner muscles and throat and nasal cavity.  When all of a sudden there it was.  I could hit the notes easily.  After  I realized what I had done I was trying to memorize the positioning that brought me this sound I have been looking for.  and when I was able to understand myself I realized that it was not coming from my chest at all.  It was coming from inside my mouth.  The volume was unbelievable as compared to the attempt of the same pitch in chest voice.  I read about this but could never actually do it before.  And best yet there is no struggle, no squinting, no funny faces.  It just comes right out.  I really have my work cut out for me now.

Thanks as always Eric, Hope all is well.

e-mail from Mariam Taylor:

Just a short not to say how glad I am that I purchased your vocal course.  I have been struggling for a while trying to get that "mix" of chest and head, I have been through many voice teachers,  and none of them could give me the basic understanding of how to perform cord adduction (or that they were even aware that this is necessary!!!). Very impressed with your lessons and I see an improvement in my voice already.

Thanks once again.

Yours very truly, Mariam Taylor

e-mail from Robert Berger:

My son purchased your course and gave it to me as a gift.  I played drums and sang back up with the CHAPTERS back in the 60s.  We did Rhythm and Blues and current hits and favorites from the 50s.  I quit music to attend college and never gave it a second though until this year.  I went to a 50s/60s doo wop concert hear in clearwater FL and the memories brought tears to my eyes. I started singing in the car and around the house but my voice was really out to lunch.  I have a low to mid range tenor and a strong falsetto, which is used a lot for background work.  To make a long story short, I read your manual, listened to all the files and to be honest I was a little skeptical.  However, after just a few weeks things started to change especially my range.  In falsetto, I can now reach F in the octave above middle C and that's all I need.  My pitch is improving and my wife can hardly believed what has happened to me.  I am doing the exercises as least once a day and sometimes twice.  Some sounded a little weird at first, but the proof is in the success I achieved so quickly.  I have along way to go, but knowing you have made it to first base makes reaching the next goal a lot easier.

Your course is one of the best gifts I have ever received and hopefully it will lead to a satisfying experience.  When my son saw that I was trying to form a doo wop group with employees I work with, he realized how much I love this type of singing.  Somehow, he chose your course from an internet site and I will be forever grateful for this bit of luck.

warmest Regards, Rob Berger

e-mail from Bonnie Illies:

Eric, As you may recall, I wrote a couple of weeks ago stating how in the past couple of years even my talking voice will get weak if talking too long let along trying to sing.  You suggested more water.  Well, as much as I appreciate your advice, I have not yet accomplished doing that piece of advice.

BUT BUT BUT in the 2+ weeks I've been practicing daily with your vocal release, I can tell my talking voice is BETTER and a slight improvement with singing.  The other day I was on the phone for 5 hours straight and my talking voice remained strong.  It used to be after talking for a sort time, I could feel I was having to put effort/energy into to trying to talk, and now I can hear/feel that my talking voice is more solid.  Sooo I feel very confident the singing voice will get even better w/time.  Thank you soooo much. If nothing else, you've helped me keep my talking voice from disappearing.

e-mail from Jeana Kunkel:

Hey Eric,

Just wanted to let you know that so far I have learned a lot from your program. In fact, cords zipped-up last night and I was singing like Mariah Carey....Why the heck didn't the loads of vocal coaches tell me before that I was forcing my voice.......

And by the way, after expelling all of my breath and refilling, I could sing a note forever, never heard about this from my other teachers... now I see how simple singing can be. I'm surprised that not more people sing.

Thanks again

Jeana Kunkel

e-mail from Kofi Hayford:

Hi I'm a sixteen year old male classical and r&b singer and when my voice broke I was quite devastated and was worried I wouldn't be able to get my range back, well thanks to your vocal release system I have got the top of my range back and I have more power due to the breathing exercises you have in your system. I'm a natural baritone now and already had quite a wide range, but wasn't satisfied. I can hit lower than a bass E and had to hit my Tenor high C in falsetto now I can hit it and higher, easily in mixed-head voice and more powerfully in falsetto than I used to. I used to have a 3 1/2 octave range and now I'm over 4 thank you sooo much.

After I e-mailed him to ask if I could use his e-mail on this page this was his reply....

.... You certainly may use my e-mail, as a testimonial. And I also wanted to tell you that my chords have become extremely flexible now so I've been able to develop a whistle voice, it still needs work but it will be good enough soon. I've been on your program for a month now. Thanks again.

Kofi

Wow, whistle voice. That's almost unheard of for a male to hit. Great job Kofi. For those of you who don't know what whistle voice is it's the absolute limit of the top end of persons range. It's the voice Mariah Carey goes into when she hit's the top end of her voice.

e-mail from Glyn:

Eric, you are a star. Thanks for your personal help and support- it's been invaluable. Your guide is outstanding quality and it's been one of the best things I have ever bought online. May I also say that I am no newcomer to the net - check out our site at http://www.dogflea.com/ - I own and run a small team of software developers and we have made and facilitated some of the best software and sites on the net- and I mean that.

The reason I say this is despite having worked with some of the bigger sites, seldom have I seen such a quality product sold online where the guy who wrote it actually gave a **** about the reader. Most so-called online guides are total ****_ trust me I have tried most of them.

e-mail from Valerie Altman:

Eric-after one lesson I already saw improvement!  Thanks Eric for your awesome class it cuts through the junk and prepares the vocal instrument for smooth transitions-even after just one lesson! Very much worth the cost. Thanks much.

e-mail from Rene Colmenares:

Hello Eric!!! I have to say that this program really works I've developed my range more in 15 days than in 6 months working with other programs, I didn't understand what head voice was, and now I that I know I've more range than I thought just by understanding it, now I can sing fully in my head voice, also the cord adducting is incredible, it added more to my range without much effort, the changes are big....

Vocal Release is the best singing software that I've used, it works!!! Thanks.

e-mail from Angel Perez:

Hello Eric, Wow! Your product is a dream come true because it actually works and you really care about other peoples dreams like your own. It really is the greatest thing to ever happen to beginner singers. It's a shame there aren't many people like you who help people to reach to the top quickly without cleaning out their wallets. Thanks a lot, your a great teacher.

e-mail from Sandy Barnes:

Eric, My buddy, my friend. I got your system about 4 weeks ago and I LOVE IT!!!  I have felt a freeness in my cords that has been missing for a very long time. I love exercise #16, it's amazing that I can hit such notes so easily without much effort...........(later she writes)...... I stopped the exercises for a few days because I was out of town and it was amazing how much stronger and clearer and effort free the exercises had become and now my singing voice is now falling into place.  Thank you, thank you, thank you. I too have gone through several teachers and techniques, especially that smile technique stuff. I really found that I DO NOT NEED TO DO THAT!! What a relief. I thought it was somewhat effective but, I looked stupid trying to sing always with a dumb smile on my face. I can't wait to hear how I sound in 6 months.....

Once again, thank you so much and I'll pass the word about your effective program. I will continue to chart my results.

e-mail from Bob Fry:

Thanks so much for the course and your answers to my many incessant questions, that were already answered in the manual had I the patience to just look in the index.

I'd like to say that I've bought just about every course and book I can find online that teaches or is about singing.  This is the only product that actually got me to produce consistent results when I followed the directions.

I sing in two different bands, one for fun and one for side money.   I often has trouble with my voice as I just sang, and didn't know how to keep it consistent.

Your course helped me not only learn about voice and how to make it work right, but how to pinpoint what was giving my problems and over come them.

e-mail from Joe Becker:

My voice really bloomed thanks to using Eric's course. I had been through lessons before and found that I had a decent range.

However I could never bring any of this range into my own original projects.  I could sing along to some of my favorite bands, but when singing on my own I could never come close to that level of vocal ability.  Which was frustrating because I also wanted to cover some of those songs.

After going through Eric's course I found that my old vocal teacher had me trying to hold on to chest voice or go straight into head voice for the high notes for the likes of : Queensryche, Soundgarden, Judas Priest and Zep.   So when I tried to do it on my own it just sounded like crap.

For me middle voice really was the key.  Once I got that I could hit the notes the way they are supposed to be tonally.

My band is so stoked by my breakthrough.

e-mail from Joy O'donnell:

Thank you so much for opening the world of music to me Eric.

I had never sang before using your course.  For the price and the return policy I'd figure it was worth a shot.

I only wanted to do it as a hobby to fill my summer, but just after a few months of using the course I'm singing things that just blow people away.

I'm seriously thinking of trying to make a career out of singing.

e-mail from Sam Pernell:

My voice has never sounded better.  I've cleared up so many issues.  #1 being the fact that I would get a sore throat after just singing a few songs. Now singing is all fun.

e-mail from John Anderson:

I tripled my range using vocal release.   My old vocal coach had me pushing chest, insisted there wasn't a middle voice and that men shouldn't use head voice at all.   As a result I never got out of chest voice and high notes always involved a lot of effort.  Thanks so much for giving me the knowledge that works.

e-mail from Bobby Taylor:

I won three karaoke contests in row.  Thanks so much.

e-mail from Robert Howe:

I've been in a long standing cover act in which the singer recently quit.  I only did backups before.  But, after not being able to find another singer the rest of the band nominated me to try and fill the spot.

I really didn't think I could do it as we cover a wide range of styles with many different types of singers.

About  six months before this I'd purchased your course and practiced daily.

To my surprise the rest of the band says I sound better than the other singer ever did.

e-mail from Judy L.:

Eric thank you sooooooo much for putting this course together.   I've always had the drive and desire to sing well, but I couldn't seem to find a vocal coach or course that could actually take me to the next level.

At best I always sounded like a well practiced karaoke singer.  Now I sound like a pro.  Again thank you so much.  To me this course is worth ten times what I paid.  I am so happy with my voice now.

e-mail from George Cabina:

Wow, I can't believe the difference. In just two months. For the longest time I was trying to learn by singing along to my CD's.   My dad would bang on the door and tell me to stop torturing his ears (I'm 14)

My mom saw how much I really wanted to sing and bought me Vocal Release.

Today I stopped in the middle of a song because I wanted to try something different.  My dad comes knocking on the door again. This time though he asked me why I stopped singing, that was his favorite one!

e-mail from Clara Higgins:

Vocal Release has worked so well for me.  I recently was asked to try and fill in for the soloist in our choir while she was away.

I gave it a shot, and now I'm doing solos regularly at church.

e-mail from Ron R.:

Eric I am so thankful that I tried your course.  I'm a singer in a working cover act.  By working I mean we play almost every day, often for hours.

Between the crappy house sound, and smoky clubs and my misuse of my voice I recently thought I had lost the ability to sing for ever.  My voice was so messed up I sounded like I had a frog in my throat constantly.

I went to a doctor and he said that I had extensive swelling in my throat and vocal folds, and that I was very close to developing worse. He also said that if I didn't sing and spoke very little it MIGHT go back to normal in six months.

By following your methods I started to get my voice back within a couple of weeks.  After a couple weeks past back to normal I even noticed a marked range increase.

Thank you so much for giving me my voice back.

e-mial from Tamika K:

Well, I didn't think I needed to learn anything about singing.   Boy was I wrong.  Like a lot of people I sing along to the radio or whatever.

My uncle knows some label people and got me an audition.

Basically I humiliated myself.  I just could not sing on my own without a CD.  To hear my own voice though a microphone was very embarrassing.  I don't know why but they gave me another audition.  Found out later that my uncle told them it was just nerves.

The second audition wasn't scheduled for two months.  So as soon as I could I bought your course.

As per the course and your personal advice I'm sounding great on my own and feel ready for the next audition.

Wish me luck!

e-mail from Leron Jones:

I have a large collection of books on singing. I'm always looking for incite and just like reading about singing, I decided to order a copy.

I was already an accomplished singer, but Vocal Release is possibly the best book on singing I've bought. It's pages cover important points on singing that I've only found scattered throughout multiple books before. Best of all if you are a total beginner it is still put forth in way that will make sense to you.

Best wishes.

e-mail from Joe D. :

What can I say.  I was very skeptical.  It seemed like it was too good to be true.  I was assured that if I actually followed the course and I didn't see improvement I would get a refund.

Not only did I improve I got back notes I hadn't been able to hit since I was in my twenties. (40 now)

Eric's product does what it says.

e-mail from Dana Larring:

Thanks so much for Vocal Release, it's the answer to all my prayers.   I wasted 4 months screaming my guts out with classical coach and getting no where. Don't know why I bothered with a classical coach when I wanted to do rock and pop, but she was the only coach I could find.

Anyways I made more progress in one week with your course then I did in the 4 months with the classical coach.

e-mail from Brian Croft:

I've been going to a vocal coach for two years, usually once a week.  It's seemed to help, but the going was slow.  Out of curiosity I got your course.  OMG, I got a HUGE range increase in one week.

When I went back to my vocal coach he commented that the training must be taking.   He got very offended when I told him it had nothing to do with what he taught me, and that was the end of my vocal lessons with him.

O well I don't need him anymore.

e-mail from Melinda S.:

Hey Eric, just letting you know my progress.  As you may recall from my first e-mail, I was already a performing singer.  Then I got very sick with strep throat and then laryingitis.  My voice never seemed to recover, and I was very depressed for many months.

Your course and advice has me in tip top shape again, thank you from the bottom of my heart. God bless.

e-mail from Maryanne Able:

I love Vocal Release. Thanks, I've learned so much about singing.  I talked to a vocal coach over the phone the other day and she asked if I was going to school for voice because of the knowledge I had of voice.

e-mail from Joseph Gratta:

I learned more from your course than six months of voice lessons.  I wish I had bought your course first instead of paying my coach $80 a lesson every other week.

e-mail from Gerald Reed:

Thanks so much Eric for your well put together, thought out course.  After using it for a couple of weeks my voice really opened up.  My tone/range improved and my voice is so much louder than it was before.

e-mail from Joann Dclark:

I had my first chance to sing in front of people last weekend.  I sang some Heart songs with a karaoke machine.  Friends and family kept coming up to me and saying how good it was and so surprised because they didn't know I sang.   I'll be sure to pass on your web address to anyone that really wants to learn to sing.

e-mail from Derek Carter:

I didn't think that the ability to sing well was something you could learn.   I thought you either had it or you didn't.  Well, you proved me wrong.

You have a very nice course best of luck to you.

e-mail from Patrick McClure:

Just like to drop you line about how happy I am that I bought the course for my daughter.   She was begging me non stop for voice lessons.  I cringed when I found out how much they were.   Not only was Vocal Release easy on my wallet, but my daughter is making real progress.  Best of all I can read the manual and help her out even though I don't sing myself.

e-mail from Kim Kraff:

Your course has really helped me out.  Thanks for helping me out and answering my questions via e-mail.

My voice sounds great now.

e-mail from Thomas Pikes:

Hey, Eric.  Hope all is well for you.  I just want to thank you for putting this course together.  It's like a bible for voice.  Any time I have a vocal problem I can go into the manual and find a solution to deal with it.  It gets right to the point.  "do this to make this happen..."

e-mail from Beth Devine:

Considering the cost of how many vocal lessons you'd have to go too to learn this info, (and then still probably not have it all), Vocal Release is worth ten times what's it's sold for.

If you only buy one course for vocal training this should be it.  Training with Vocal Release took my voice to the next level as they say.

e-mail from Mark Bodin:

Thanks so much Eric.   I ordered from Australia and my order got here quickly.  You have great customer service.

e-mail from David Smith:

I'm just e-mailing to let you know how happy I am with the course.  I bought it so that my son and I could use it and learn together.

It is well laid out.  I was worried that since I had no knowledge of how to read music or what notes were, it would be hard for me to understand.  Such was not the case.

Vocal Release is easy to follow.   My voice is really improving and so is my sons.  He's become the singer for his garage band and I'm actually going to record some songs I wrote on acoustic guitar.

Thanks again, I'm having lots of fun with my voice.

e-mail from Ben Davies:

This is exactly what I was looking for.  I wanted a singing instruction package that just told me what I needed to do to improve.   Others I bought were a lot of empty promises and think positive %$#@, with little if any useful information.

Vocal Release is the real deal.

e-mail from Gloria Adler:

Hi, Eric.  I'm so happy with the course.  I already sang and had very wide range.  But, I'm always looking to learn something more about singing.   Your manual is spot on it everything you write about.  I even learned a few things that I didn't know before.  I used to have a bit of a problem getting properly warmed up before performing.  Now I know how to get warmed up and ready to go in just a few minutes.

I bought option #2 because I was interested in song writing as well, and have never really written a song that I considered A material.

Well, your song writing guide is great too.  I was able to take some of my old song ideas and polish them into really nice pieces.  Thanks again,  I recommend anyone wanting to learn how to sing well and write their own material go for option #2.

e-mail from Larry H.:

I learned more about singing by just reading his manual than three months of vocal lessons twice a week.

It's amazing how fast you can progress as a singer when you have the same knowledge as any vocal coach. That is what this course gave me.

In fact my vocal coach never even mentioned the fact that the voice has registers.  Most of the time was spent with the coach telling me I was off key or to use my diaphragm more.

Eric makes a good point saying that the best singers learn how to be their own vocal coach, so that they can deal with problems themselves.

e-mail from Mary Wallace:

I actually purchased your Vocal Release Course not for singing but for public speaking.   I often have to give speeches and more often than not I lost my voice and go hoarse.

I'm 70 years old and am not entertaining any ideas of being the next singing sensation.  But, after using the course for a just a month I noticed my speaking voice had no problems at presentations.   So, I tried singing a few songs just for fun.  To my surprise I actually sound pretty good for a beginer.

Best wishes, thanks for all the advice.
